The fabulous actress of PTV, Begum Khurshid Shahid passed away at the age of 95-years
One of the most senior and fabulous actresses of the Pakistan Television (PTV) Begum Khurshid Shahid passed away on Sunday at the age of 95-years. She was a celebrated radio presenter as well. The death of Begum Khurshid was also confirmed by her son, Salman Shahid, who is also an actor. Some time ago, Begum Khurshid was admitted to a hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest and was put on a ventilator. Begum Khurshid was laid-to-rest in the DHA Phase 7 cemetery in Lahore. At the age of 9, Begum Khurshid Shahid started her career in Delhi. She was an actor and a singer at All India Radio. After migration in 1947, she joined the Lahore theater and became a prominent figure. In 1964, she became a part of Pakistan Television Corporation and performed in some of the best plays ever produced by PTV. Begum Khurshid Shahid was also awarded the highest Pakistani civil award, the Pride of Performance.

Wo aik behad pasand ki janay wali radio presenter bhi thin. Begum Khurshid ki wafaat ki khabar ki tasdeeq un ke betay Salman Shahid ne bhi ki hai. Salman Shahid bhi aik actor hain. Kuch arsa qabal Begum Khurshid ko heart attack anay ke baad hospital main admit kia gya tha aur unhain ventilator per rakha gya tha. Begum Khurshid ko DHA Phase 7 Lahore ke qabaristaan main dafnaya jae ga. Begum Khurshid Shahid ne 9 saal ki umar main Delhi se apnay career ka aghaaz kia. Wo All India Radio ki aik actor aur singer thin. 1947 main hijrat ke baad, unhon ne Lahore theater ko join kia aur us ki aik eham shaksiyat ban gain. 1964 main wo Pakistan Television Corporation ka hissa banin aur PTV ke aj tak ke produce kye gae chand sab se achay plays main acting ki. Begum Khurshid Shahid ko Pakistan ke sab se unchay civil award Pride of Performance se bhi nawaza gya tha.
