Mahir is a young boy who lives a carefree life. His parents have divorced each other and have re-married someone else. Mahir bounces between his parents’ houses as none of his step-parents is willing to take him in. Mehru/ Mehrunissa is a mature woman who had recently become a widow. His husband Hidayatullah died who was almost twice his age. Mehru was married to Hidayatullah at a very young age because of which she couldn’t fulfill her dreams of becoming a sportswoman.
But now, that his husband is gone, she feels kind of liberated and enlightened and wants to start her life afresh. Mahir and Mehru are neighbors, who fall in love and decide to marry each other. But will the society and children of Mehru’s husband allow her to marry a guy who is much younger than her? Does Mahir and Mehru’s love have a strong enough bonding to face whatever life throws at them?
